Welcome to Guitar Notes & Scales, a course to turn you into a melodic guitarist and teach you all of the most important guitar theory that you need to know. This course is for all guitar students - beginner to advanced. We'll focus on guitar notes from the chromatic naming perspective as well as their interval name. Then we'll begin learning all about modes and how to unlock the fretboard. Once we've unlocked the fretboard, we'll go to the Jam Tracks section to practice our new soloing skills!
Any kind of six-string guitar will work well for this course - electric guitar, acoustic guitar, or classical guitar.
This course is all about guitar notes and melody and how to bring these elements into your guitar playing.This course has two sections: LESSONS and JAM TRACKS. The LESSONS section will get us up-to-speed with our knowledge of notes, intervals, and modes. The JAM TRACKS section is our opportunity to practice soloing with our modes. Each Jam Track has a tab diagram on the video screen to help make it easier to solo while going through each backing track lesson.
Many of the videos in this course have tablature (tabs) on the screen throughout most of these lessons. In addition, many of these guitar lessons will include a downloadable PDF attachment, which is the tablature of the techniques for further study.
