Introduced to the guitar at the age of 11 Scott found his passion and hasn't looked back since. With enthusiasm and dedication to learning the guitar he surpassed his first few guitar teachers. At age 14 he started playing and teaching guitar professionally.
After attending Guitar Institute of Technology he started playing in bands and collaborating with other artists. This lead him to collaborating on gold and platinum albums with rock legend Kiss. Collaborating with recording artist Ken Tamplin earned him the Gospel Music Association's prestigious Dove award. (Scott wrote many of the songs on the album.)
Scott later founded the successful production company called "Citrus Productions", now "Van Zen Music".
Scott has written and produced music for TV, commercials, and film as well as media sources such as NBC, Fox, Paramount Television, Warner Brothers, MTV, ABC, Discovery, ESPN2, and others.
